Theatre Calgary is proud to present Stage Presence, an exhibition by one of Canada’s leading photographers V. TONY HAUSER. The collection, featured throughout our lobbies, features 74 black & white portraits of renowned and promising Canadian stage artists captured using large-format Polaroid film. Portraits include Paul Gross, Karen Kain, Michel Tremblay as well as Theatre Calgary’s Artistic Director Dennis Garnhum and Lost – A Memoir star Jan Alexandra Smith.
V. Tony Hauser’s photographic works have been exhibited internationally and are included in permanent collections in the National Archives of Canada, the Stratford Festival, the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography and numerous private collections around the world.
The exhibition runs from September 9 - November 7 in the lobbies of the Max Bell Theatre. It is open to ticket holders for performances of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Lost – A Memoir.
A free public viewing is also available to celebrate Alberta Arts Days on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, from 12:00pm - 5:00pm.
An exhibition book is available at www.vtonyhauser.com
