Theatre Calgary's Night at the Oscars is Calgary's foremost Academy Awards party. Matched by no other this is an evening of glitz and glamour with the full 'red carpet' treatment! Guests toast the stars with champagne, indulge in exquisite dining, and bask in the enchanting atmosphere.
The evening begins with ‘Black Tie Hollywood Glamour’ dressed guests arriving for a champagne reception in the Fairmont Palliser’s Crystal Ballroom, where they mingle and peruse the splendid silent auction display. Then, at showtime, guests are in for an evening filled with fabulous wine, a 'best-picture themed menu', and awards to the stars broadcast on several giant screens.
Of course, there is the big prize as well. Every ticket holder will automatically be entered to win a trip for 2 to Los Angeles, courtesy of WestJet Vacations . The trip consists of 4 days and 3 nights plus hotel, and gives the winner a chance to go visit Hollywood and maybe bump into a celebrity or two themselves!
Tickets for the event are $200, tables of 10 for $2000, with all proceeds to support Theatre Calgary. As with every year, tickets are selling fast, so booking as soon as possible is recommended.
All funds raised go to Theatre Calgary’s Understudy and Youth Leadership Programme (tickets for organizations working with disadvantaged youth).
The event is hosted by CTV Calgary’s Jocelyn Laidlaw and Kirk Heuser.
